General Assembly: 1. Maintaining primary education in times of warfare. 2. Combating piracy in the Gulf of Aden 3. Preventing trafficking of humans and weapons
Human Rights Council: 1. Protecting the rights of refugees in times of national emergency 2. Eliminating the use of child soldiers in warfare 3. Distribution of Humanitarian Aid in times of warfare 4. Protecting women from sexual violence during foreign occupation
Environment Commission: 1. The current impacts of biological and chemical weapons in warfare. 2. Combating land degradation while protecting biodiversity in war zones or in areas of armed conflict 3. Issue of leftover mines and bombs in post-war.
Security Council: 1. Resolving the conflict between North and South Korea. 2. Combating threats to international peace and security caused by bio-terrorism 3. Resolving the housing settlement issue on the West Bank
The HIS MUN Club delegation contains:
4 places for Republic of Korea (GA, Human Rights, Environment, Security Council), 4 places for Japan (GA, Human Rights, Environment, Security Council), 1 place for World Health Organization (Human Rights), 1 place for Bosnia Herzegovina (GA)
Mr. Robinson asks the HIS MUN Club to create a fair method for the distribution of these assignments to interested club members.
Posted below are the applications for both student officer (debate chair) positions and P5 seats on the security council.
Please note that the deadline is this Friday, March 25. Mr. Robinson needs to know of your interest immediately so he can prepare the recommendation letter for you.
